Web 2.0: Real-time Social Networking

Raise the Bar Press, the Web 2.0 reinvention of the Raise the Bar Virual Agency, leverages the skills of its long-time creative collaborators who have always been pioneers in their respective fields. All of the traditional creative and promotional elements are executed in our typical first class style: photography, cover design, collateral, video production, web development, marketing strategy, messaging, and public relations. However, because media promotion and distribution is so tightly controlled in the publishing industry, RTB is focusing much of its efforts on alternative Web 2.0 social networking and experiential approaches, including:

Readers of Doublethink are invited to use this copy as a starting point for the emails and text messages you write to tell your friends about the book. One of the most successful versions is shown below. It helps illustrate the point that all politics is personal. Or feel free to attach this PDF flyer about the book, complete with reader quotes.

Hi all,
A friend of mine, J.E. Schwartz, just wrote a novel to encourage us to engage in some fresh thinking about our current political situation. Through her book, she is trying to make a difference as an individual in what is feeling more and more like a one-Party America. I thought the story was fast-paced, to the point, and frankly, I couldn't put it down. I offered to help her with her grass roots marketing effort by spreading the word to people I know who share my concerns.

DOUBLETHINK: A Tale of Unintended Consequences begins in 2012 and the Republican agenda is firmly in place. Joe Winston is a nice all-American guy, respected in his church and community, who sets off a disastrous chain of events with a generous donation to the wrong charity. In his terrifying descent from "have" to "have not," Joe is forced to experience the natural outcomes of the policies he has sincerely supported his entire life.

Here are 5 simple suggestions for making a difference:
1. Read the book. It is now available for sale on www.raisethebar.com or on Amazon.com
2. If you like it, please tell your friends, relatives, and members of your political email lists about the book. Feel free to forward this email and add your own commentary.
3. Give a copy to a loved one who is more politically conservative than you are with the disclaimer, "I'm not expecting to change your mind, but I want you to understand why I am so afraid about what is happening to our country."
4. After they read the book, have a conversation with them. To help this along, there is a discussion guide posted on www.raisethebar.com/studyguide written by the author with the help of a conservative Republican who loved the book.
5. Send a comment with your reaction to the book publisher@raisethebar.com or post on the online forum.

Regards,
